|
| How long is the filler hose? |

What type of faucet does your filler hose
work on?

The end adapter is made big enough that
it will fit over most kitchen faucets. (It will not work on flat faucets.)
The end adapter is made of rubber, so there is some flexibility. |
| What are the decibels for your 916 600
and 726 000 units? |
The 916 600 unit is about 45 decibels with the unit on High.
The 726 000 unit is 48 decibels with the unit on High.
*The decibel measures the amount of noise or volume level of
the unit. Decibel measurements are taken at 3 ft. diagonal from
center of unit, when unit is sitting on the floor, 40" up
from floor using the dB A scale

| When I touch my humidifier motor, it is
hot. Is it overheating? |
No, on full speed the motor should get
to about 150 to 160 degrees. It will be at 1580-1600 RPM and run about
2 amps with everything in place. You SHOULD NOT put your hands on
the motor - it will be hot to the touch. |
| Can the Essick Air bacteria treatment
(EPA Reg. No. 41550-1-81371) stain carpeting - diluted in water and
straight out of the bottle? |
The bacteria treatment is water-based,
so if water might leave a stain on carpeting the bacteria treatment
may leave a stain, as well. However, it is not colored, so it would
be about the same as water. |
| What is the output of water on low and
medium setting for the 300 and 500 Series humidifiers? |
Our humidifiers are only rated on high.
338 series: 4.5 Gallons/Day
336 series: 5.0 Gallons/Day

ozone? |
Essick air purifiers do not emit ozone.
They are ozone free! |
| My motor indicates it needs to be oiled. |
It is not necessary to oil the motors.
The company we buy motors from automatically puts this message on
all motors. The motors have enough oil for use in a humidifier. |
| What unit replaced the 125 001? |
The 127 001 is the replacement. It has
the same cabinet as the 125 001, but this unit has been modified to
use the HEPA filter (1101). |
| What is the difference between the pleated
wick and the slit and expanded wick? |
Essick Air wicks are made from
patented pleated paper, providing more wicking (evaporation), better
output, and longer life. |
| Does it matter if I use another company's
filter for your humidifiers? |
For maximum performance we recommend using genuine Essick
Air evaporative wicks.
Essick Air filters have a higher output.
Essick Air filters will usually last the entire
season. (Others generally need to be replaced mid-season.)*
Essick produces their own filters. Many others need to
rely on third-party technology.
The output performance of Essick Air filters is
verified by an independent test laboratory to AHAM test standard
HU-1-1998.
*After 90 days of performance, Essick filters (wicks) have an output
performance that is:
72% better than Holmes' output performance.
178% better than RPS' output performance.
All tests conducted according to AHAM test standard HU-1-1997 by
Intertek Testing Services, Cortland, NY
